Ed Perez

After graduating with a Marketing degree from Pan American University I started my career with State Farm in claims in 1984 and have held numerous management positions including project management prior to becoming an agent in Cinco Ranch in 1998. I have dedicated 40 years of my career to serving State Farm customers.

I am committed to the Katy community by having served in the Katy ISD Youth Protection Program as the Youth Protection Coordinator, conducted bike safety rodeos and 911 Simulator Call training sessions. In these sessions, 2nd graders are walked through the process of making emergency calls.

I’m an avid bowler. I compete in local leagues and have been a coach in the Katy ISD high school bowling program, served as a coach with a local youth bowling league and also volunteered in a bowling program assisting youths with disabilities. I also coached in the Katy Little League, I9 Sports and YMCA Youth League programs.

I am blessed to have five children who all attended Katy ISD schools where I was involved as a PTA member. I was involved in the Junior Achievement Program for several years where I spent time in the classroom and discussed insurance concepts including risk management and how pricing for youthful drivers can be impacted by grades and driving habits. Additionally, I have been a member of the Katy and Fort Bend County Chambers Of Commerce .
