"I once thought highly of this agent's office, but not anymore. I had zero issues with them for a couple of years but I moved to New Mexico and had to cancel them. I moved back and needed insurance in this area instead and went back because I never paid too much and never had any issues. About a month or so after I went back, I got a single letter saying that my insurance was being cancelled because they said there was a lapse in coverage over the previous months. Mind you I had been fully insured while I was in New Mexico and never had any lapse in coverage. At that time, I had been in and out of town and didn't have a chance to check my mailbox, so, by the time I read it, my insurance had already been cancelled and I had been driving around for a WEEK without insurance. No one tried to reach out to me and make sure that there wasn't about a mistake. I tried calling their national line (it was over the weekend and this office was closed at that time) the nice lady I spoke with tried to get me reinstated, but said there was a block placed on me by this office she could not override. She told me that she sent in a priority message for emergencies over the weekend to the main agent of this office considering my situation and that he should get back to me soon. It has been over a month and a half later and I still have not heard anything from this office about my issue. I have since gone to GEICO and have treated me much better and they have a much better app than state farm with all sorts of neat tools. However, because there was NOW a lapse of a week on my record, my rate was increased by GEICO, it could have been lower, but because of the INCOMPETENCE of state farm and because of the APATHY of this office, I had to pay more. That all being said, I will never go back to state farm.....EVER. They have joined AAA on that list simply because they did not care!!! I wish I could give zero stars!"
